Upgrading from GarageSale 7 or 6
Use the built-in update mechanism or just download GarageSale 8 from the Downloads section.GarageSale 8 is a paid upgrade. If you own a license for a previous version, you can purchase an upgrade license. A single user upgrade license is available for $19.99.
Upgrade licenses and the new GarageSale Pro subscription are available within GarageSale 8 (choose “Buy License..” from the “GarageSale” menu).
If you subscribe to GarageSale Pro straight ahead you don't need to purchase an upgrade license first.
Free upgrade license: You purchased a license for the previous version shortly before the release of GarageSale 8? Don't worry, if you purchased a license for a previous version on or after April 1st, 2018, GarageSale will offer you a free license once you start the purchase flow within the application.
Database Migration
GarageSale 8 uses its own database. This allows you to run it along side an older GarageSale version without side-effects.If you have been using the previous version 7 of GarageSale before, GarageSale 8 will ask to import your existing database upon first launch. Your previous GarageSale database will not be modified in this process so you won't lose any work.
Depending on the size of your database, the import process can take several minutes.
