Step 3: Install & Update VirtualBox Extension (Optional) This step is not 100% necessary but it’s highly recommended to do this step because macOS High Sierra might not function properly on VirtualBox. For this reason, it might cause problems during the installation. This guide will discuss installing MacOS Mojave, however installation process should be similar for all MacOS versions. ⚠️ At the time of writing, Virtualbox and Hyper-V cannot co-exist on Windows. MacOS is also not installable on Hyper-V. I use Linux in my screenshots as I use Docker on Windows. This also includes Windows Subsystem for. I use virtualbox everywhere (i'm a big fan) so I have VB on windows10,Linux (manjaro), macOS Sierra and Yosemite. Mac still waiting for root device. ONLY on macos Sierra (tested on multiple devices) the windows 10 and Linux guests UI/mouse lags bad! The only way to make thing better is to disable mouse integration, but than the pointer is no longer accurate and you loose this.

When using os x (10.12.2) as the host and linux guests, gui performance is ok, except for dragging or resizing windows within the gui. Then it takes several seconds for the windows to move or resize following the drag event. Drag and resize both seem a little faster horizontally and vertically. Horizontal is sometimes almost at normal speed. Maximized apps (full screen) are not affected by this bug and will resize with the virtualbox. Host-OS: Windows 10 64bit, 10.0.19042 Build 19042. VirtualBox: 6.1.20 r143896 (Qt5.6.2) Guest OS: several, Issues only with Windows 10. I've already tried: enabling/disabling HyperV (now disabled with several reboots) disabling Windows Sandbox. Disabling and reenabling AMD-V.

I've bought an iMac 2019 21' and use a Windows 10 64-bit Virtual Machine with 4 GB of allocated RAM memory and 256 MB allocated Video Card memory.
The general graphics performance is very poor. When dragging windows inside the VM it's chunky and if I enable the 3D acceleration the guest system becomes unusable (flickering graphics, etc.). I've already tried every possible combination but the best I could achieve was to enable 2D acceleration only and hence having sloppy graphics.
I use the latest version of macOS Mojave and the host system should be fast enough to run any VM in any configuration without issues.
The Guest drivers inside Windows 10 are installed.
I can attach logfiles if needed.
